SMGS: The SMGS School Marathon kickoff is Monday, August 25th...please be at the KWU track by 7:15am. Kansas Wesleyan has asked for us to notify families of the rules of their track.

Please stay on the track when running or walking.
Please pick up any trash you leave and throw it away on the way out.
Please do not use bikes or strollers inside the stadium to help protect the track and turf surfaces.
Please do not leave trash laying around the facility
Please do not run or walk on the turf, the stadium is not to be used as a playground for kids not participating in the marathon.

SMGS: The ACE (After Class Enrichment) programs start on Monday, August 25th. Registration forms are due to the SMGS office by Friday, August 22nd. More information is posted on the SMGS Live Feed. Forms were sent home with students last week but are also available in the school office. A couple sessions are full and no longer available...both session 1 & 2 Brick & Board Brigade classes and Tales & Treats Session 1 (Tuesdays). SMGS: ACE After Class Enrichment August - December Classes start August 25th.
SCS families, tomorrow we celebrate a very special occasion—the Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which also happens to be the feast day of our parish here on campus, St. Mary’s Queen of the Universe. What a gift for us to honor our Blessed Mother under her beautiful title of Queen!

In a spirit of unity, Pope Leo has asked all the faithful to dedicate tomorrow as a day of prayer and fasting for peace. What better way to entrust our world, our families, and our hearts to Mary’s maternal intercession?

Mass times tomorrow are at 8:05 AM or 5:30 PM. Let’s come together to pray and ask our Queen and Mother to lead us always to her Son.

May this feast day be a reminder of the hope and peace that Mary brings to the Church and to each of us!

The surveys will be asking questions regarding what you as parents feel about your child’s developmental and social levels. Your child’s name is not shared with the State of Kansas. They are only looking for data about Kindergarten students across the state. This information is needed for our state accreditation.

Our Lunch Director, Ms. Jennifer, has implemented a new incentive for students whose parents sign up to eat school lunch with their student(s) throughout the school year. Each student will be able to spin a wheel for a prize. There is no limit on number of times students can spin the wheel as long as someone has paid to eat lunch with them. We will keep track of all students who have had a chance to spin the wheel, at the end of the year, the students who haven't had a chance to spin the wheel will get their chance. If you'd like to join your student for lunch, please call the school office by 8:30am the morning of, the cost for an adult lunch is $5.00.
SMGS Families!! We have 5 yearbooks for sale if you missed ordering one. First come, first serve. They are $25 each. Call the school office if you would like one!! These are 24-25 school yearbooks.
