Many of our SH students and staff already start their mornings this way, and it’s always such a beautiful sight. 💙 You’re welcome to join us too - what better way to begin the day than receiving Jesus right here in our chapel? We hope to see you there!

SMGS: We, as a school, will not be making up the marathon mile that was missed this morning due to weather. Therefore, there will be no marathon on Friday, September 19th. If your child attends the Costume Run this Sunday, Sept. 21, that can account for the missed mile or you have the option of making it up on your own and reporting that to Molly Suing, the Marathon Director, on Monday. Thank you!
One of the best ways you can be part of the fun is by volunteering. Facility crews to lunch support, book fair help, and more—there’s a spot for everyone to jump in and make a difference. If you’re looking to log service hours or simply want to give back, this is a fantastic way to support our students and staff while being part of the joy and excitement of the day!

Kindergarten: Students are being welcomed into the atrium this week. Returning students are re-acclimating to the environment and building on last year's material, while new students are getting the core lessons to get brought up to speed with their peers. This is the last year of level 1 formation for them.
1st grade: We are starting level 2 formation this year with our 1st grade students. Returning students will synthesize material from their time in level 1 and begin to be introduced to the timeline of the History of the Kingdom of God and the cosmic elements of His presence. New students are getting caught up on level 1 material and will soon be up to speed with their peers.
🙏 Thank you for entrusting your children to us and allowing us the privilege of growing alongside them in their faith. What a gift it is to walk this journey together!

SMGS families -
As we begin a new school year, we want to share what to expect with Virtues-Based Restorative Discipline (VBRD)—our approach to building a stronger, faith-filled community rooted in respect, responsibility, and growth.
👉 Check out this short video that explains why we chose VBRD and how it helps us nurture both character and relationships: https://youtu.be/QrG5EZPmJ3g?feature=shared
👉 Each month we’ll focus on a specific virtue. For September, you can see our theme and resources here: https://5il.co/3ouc7
We’re excited to partner with you as we walk with students in developing these virtues both in and out of the classroom. Thank you for joining us in this important work!
