NHS Scam Letter Alert
Sacred Heart has been made aware of scam letters that may have been sent to families regarding National Honor Society (NHS). These letters often offer to publish your child’s name in a book or “place of honor” for a fee, and may include links to purchase stoles or honor cords.
Please be aware that these are not affiliated with Sacred Heart’s NHS chapter. All official NHS communication for Sacred Heart comes directly from the school, specifically through Mr. Hamilton, NHS Sponsor. Sacred Heart will never request payment for NHS participation. Any organization claiming to represent NHS and asking for money is a strong indicator of a scam. Also, please note that only Sacred Heart-issued NHS cords and stoles are permitted to be worn at the graduation ceremony. Our NHS application process has already concluded, and eligible students were contacted directly by the school.

We are pleased that Dr. Rachel Carney, and Dr. Mike Ziegler, have agreed to provide KSHSAA school physicals for the next school year. We have also collaborated with Salina Family Healthcare Center and 2 of their physicians will also be doing physicals.
Who: students in grades 6-11 for the next school year.
What: KSHSAA physicals. Students are required to have a signed physical form on file before they can practice or participate in any athletic activity (baseball, basketball, bowling, cheer, cross-country, dance, football, golf, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball).
When: Thursday April 2, 2026
Where: Sacred Heart Jr-Sr High School.
Cost: $25.00 payable to SHJSHS.
Return to SHJSHS by MONDAY MARCH 30:
1. KSHSAA form completed https://www.kshsaa.org/Public/PDF/FORM-PPE.pdf. Auto filled if done on line or pick one up in the office.
2. Immunization record - get from family doctor

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This Thursday, March 26, our 8th-grade students will have the opportunity to attend the Chrism Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m., and students will travel to and from the Cathedral with school supervision.
Following the Mass, students will go to Oakdale Park to enjoy a pizza luncheon together before returning to school. Pizza will be provided for all students. We expect to arrive back at school at approximately 2:30 p.m.
This is a meaningful experience for our students as they witness this special liturgy and spend time together in fellowship. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school office.

HS Baseball: uniform checkout will be this Friday 3/20 at 10am in coach Hines room. We will also be practicing on Saturday 3/21 at 11am

Events like this help sponsor all our school activities both academics and athletic, from meals and transportation for Scholars bowl to the uniforms our Lady Knights will be wearing as they play for the State Championship! LADY KNIGHTS BASKETBALL! CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING THE STATE SEMIFINAL GAME TONIGHT! An anonymous donor would like to cover transportation and entry entry fee for Saturday's STATE TITLE GAME! There will be a sign up in the office on Friday 3/13 from 8 AM to 12 PM. There is a minimum of 30 for the bus to leave, and a max of 50. LET'S GO WIN THIS THING! The bus will load at 9:45 AM on Saturday, March 14!
SH: With the Lady Knights continuing their run in the State Basketball Tournament, school on Thursday, March 12th will again be dismissed at 1:30. Let's Go Lady Knights!
There will be no Track Practice on Thursday or Friday. High School and Junior Track practice will resume next week on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and Friday at 9:00 a.m.

Spirit Bus: Congrats to the Lady Knights on another Great Win! For the game at Emporia 3/12, there will be another Spirit Bus. Cost will again be $20 each and it will pay for entry and transportation. Students riding the bus will be dismissed at 1:15 to load the bus. Students must sign up in the office by 8 am on Thursday 3/12 by 8 am. GO KNIGHTS!
Parents: The spirit bus will arrive back at Sacred Heart High School at 8:35!
